Timo Maas and Yousef has just popped in to 3 Beat, both are playing at Circus this evening. Both are regular customers (Yousef as he’s from Liverpool anyway and Timo uses our mail order service). They bought a nice stack of tunes each.

Timo bought all of the Giles Peterson Ep’s, Son Of Raw – A Black Man In Space, Pitto – Sexdrive, Various – 2 Remixes,  Terry Lee Brown Junior – Pulsar and Mugwump – Boutade. 

we also tried to sell Timo the new mixes of Azzido Da Bass – Doomsnight (which had his classic mix on!) .. but he politely declined, saying he’s done all of that before!

The rumour on the street is that australian nrg supergroup ‘outsource‘ are coming to liverpool for a few months holiday. Although they have been producing for a while, they have only just started getting their tracks over to these shores. Djs currently supporting their music include Alex k, Karl Gwynn, Rob Cain, Sound Selektaz, Frequency Djs and Alex Jones!

last time i was djing down at wigan pier i was doing my stuff on the decks and this guy comes hurtling towards me and shouts down my ear “are u Rob Cain” to which i replied “yes i am”, he then said “your ill you pal, your a sick dj” to which i replied “actually mate i feel pretty good!”

At last! The monsterous Mongoose is here! Sasha, Charlie May, Duncan Forbes (Spooky) & Barry Jamieson all made this building cleverely made club destroyer! It has wicked effects and rocks along nicely until the throbbin Electro flavoured bass sound overtakes the track big time!! We all love it in 3 beat! 

Mongoose was originally due to come out as Kevlar – Mongoose, on Rebel One (an offshoot of Crosstown Rebels) a label where artists go under pseudynoms releasing tracks with the artist and title being that of an animal and a mineral! (other tracks include The Wombat – Teflon, The Cat – Canvas and the likes!)
