Wonky Shonky?

Monday, April 7th, 2008

Over the last few years, We at 3 Beat Records been watching a young French prodcuer called Shonky start doing well for himself. His new album Time Zero is a fine selction of underground slabs of all kinds of techno, ranging from detroit influenced melodic bits to lush breakdowns that you may hear in a Sasha set.

A new Remix 12″ is about to land too, with remixes from Paul Ritch and Mathias Kaden thats had plays from Dubfire, Troy Pierce and Loco Dice

Glenn Morrison plays Liverpool tomorrow!

Friday, April 4th, 2008

I am looking forward to DJ-ing with Glenn Morrison tomorrow night at the mighty Korova in Liverpool for a night called Etc.

Glenn has been busy in the studio since learning a lot of his studio skills from Deadmau5 and has been causing a fuss with DJ’s with his production from Tiesto & Van Buuren to Tong and Sasha (Glenns mix of Above & Beyond ft Bernard Sumner (New Order) was Pete’s essential new tune in Miami!!)

Skylark remix X-Press 2 classic Music

Friday, April 4th, 2008

The classic X-Press 2 track Music Xpress has been remixed by Fanciulli under his Skylark guise, and we at 3 beat obviously love the original and are rather partial to the remix!

Smith & Selway – Total Departure – Cirez D Mix – ANTHEM!!!

Tuesday, April 1st, 2008

We are still recovering here in 3 beat from mild heart failure after managing to get a promo of the new Smith & Selway track called Total Departure. The original is an amazing techno slammer in its own right, and then Cirez D remixes it to another level. The insane rising noise that builds and builds and builds as is the staple of the track as the groove of the main tune throbs along.

Its coming on Drumcode which is Adam Bayers label – he must be wetting his pants with excitement with these gems!

Already on the case loving this including Dubfire (his tune of WMC Miami), Richie Hawtin, Adam Bayer, Eric Prydz, Paco Osuna, Christian Smith and Chris Liebing… and now me too!
