The petite powerhouse has a string of hits under her belt and cleaned up at the MTV Romania awards in 2010, winning the best dance, best new act, best show and best border breaker awards. She was shortlisted for the MTV Europe Awards.
Born Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu, Inna knew from the age of eight that she wanted to be a pop star. Her stage name is a childhood nickname dreamt up by her grandfather. She performed with a pop/rock band in her teens, but it was when she met the guys behind Play&Win in 2007 that she decided to give music a serious shot.
Growing up on Romanias Black Sea Coast Romania Inna was influenced by music from the US and the UK. Her idols are Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Lady GaGa, Kylie Minogue and Shakira. More recently she admits to having fallen in love with the sounds of Swedish House Mafia, The Black Eyed Peas and British singer Jessie J.
