“This years most imaginative festival line up” – VIRTUAL FESTIVALS
WEEKEND / CAMPING AND DAY TICKETS ON SALE NOW!

It’s only 6 weeks to go until this Summers hottest festival Creamfields, and the team behind the UK’s No.1 Dance festival are pleased to announce more acts to the allstar line up.

Stepping out from the decks of this summer’s hottest parties, new DJ additions include Mark Brown (CR2 Records) playing the Radio 1 Arena. Mark Brown has his fingers in many party pies, currently remixing for St Etienne and Duran Duran and filling in for Pete Tong on Fasttrax in August. Also on board is Drum and Bass maestro Futurebound added to the Ape Arena and Sonny J (Liverpool’s latest export) in the Skins arena. Sonny J is currently tearing up dancefloors nationwide with his debut album ‘Disastro’, big basslines and euphoric strings define this showstopping record, another gem glistening on the North West dance scene. Ministry of Sound resident Dom Chung will also be hitting the decks in Chibuku, the hottest superclub to emerge from Liverpool in recent years.

Following on from the incredible success of the Residents Bar last year, Creamfields 08 has stepped up another level and introduces more summer magic with the all-new Residents Terrace; an open-air ‘Buena-vista’ of international club culture. Debuting last year and becoming one of the most popular spots on site due to this being the arena that’s dedicated to the residents, those unsung heroes who rock dancefloors across the UK every week. Carefully selecting some of the UK’s hottest club residents, all of whom will be working side by side to ensure the music does the talking. Saturday’s music policy is underground house, tech house and techno, the perfect soundtrack to kick off the weekend’s festivities. Sunday, is jacking house, electro and an altogether mash up to finish off what promises to be one of the hottest festivals of the Summer. As well as the music the Residents Terrace is also home to Bar Wizards, mixing cocktails in a way you’ve never seen before!

This promises to be one of the most varied arenas at this years festival. Residents on board include: Gareth Wyn (Cream), H2 (Socio Ritmo /Filthy Sessions, Manchester), Terry Pointon (Tangled, Manchester), Mucky Beats (Techno Experiment, Manchester), Scott Udberg, Mark Johnson & Simon Quick B2B (Habit, Newcastle) , DJ Ellesse (Kaluki, Manchester) , Darius Syrossian (Wax on, break out audio, Leeds, Lee and Anthony B2B (Cream), Prostitutes and policemen DJ’s, Pat & Huey (Twisted Elegance, Manchester), Tim Owen (Plush, Manchester) , Get Carter (Ultra, Stupid Underground, Birmingham), Digital Dj’s (Super Social, Loaded, Lancashire) , Rob Casson, Andy Currie (Freeze, Liverpool), CantmixWontmixShouldntMixDontMix. (Warehouse Party)

So here is the next instalment each day for your disco diaries;

Sunday: Plush, Twisted Elegance, Ultra, Freeze, and Dj talent such as Digital Djs, Prostitutes & Policeman DJ’s, CantMixWontShouldntMixDontMix and our own residents Lee and Anthony…

Fri night was a take things easy vibe moving from room to room checking bit’s and bob’s of set’s. Fertile Ground were on in the Beat Bar (formaly the bacardi bar) but being just under 5ft 5inches i found it hard to see much. Also on the agenda was dj Spen who was amazing as usuall! Then it get’s a little blury! Sat night is when i relaxed a little checking out Louisto Quintero live – Joey Negro – Mr Scruff – Monique Bingham & Quentin Harris & that’s just what i can remember, All exceptional. On to Sunday where it was all about The Sunburst Band - Bob Jones – Billy Davidson & bob Jeffries. Then on to play the After party with Dr Bob Jones & Dj Meme who were both amazing phew!. Thanks to them and everybody @ Southport Weekender. Roll on November!!!
