And listeners of 1Xtra and Kiss are going to be hearing the single a whole lot more because it just got added to the 1Xtra B-list playlist and the Kiss ‘Breaking Beats’ playlist.

The good news doesn’t stop there. “Antenna” is riding high at number 2 on the Music Week Urban Club Chart as well as being a new entry at number 7 on the Cool Cuts Chart.

We’ve just been sneaking a peek at the first edit of the brand new Skepta video for the his new single “Lay Her Down” featuring Kano and we love love love it!

The vibe is old skool and dreamy – think sunshine, bare legs and roller-skates. The video goes live on Tuesday,  until then here’s a photo-taster.

It started life as a skit on his recent mixtape Blacklisted, but the response to “Lay Her Down” from fans was so BIG that Skepta decided to record a full length version, inviting Kano along to do a guest vocal.

Choice FM’s Jenny Francis gave the track it’s world exclusive spin on her Hype@12 show, which was followed by plays from fellow Choice DJs Firin Squad, Ras Kwame and Woody. Charlie Sloth gave the track its first 1Xtra spin, AND NOW he’s made it his Record of The Week. Yes, Charlie’s Cracker is “Lay Her Down”, thank you Charlie Sloth.

The excitement doesn’t stop there! Skepta and Kano headed down to Battersea earlier this week to shoot the official video. Skepta tweeted this photo of the stars of the show kicking back on set.

Bursting with colour, the video has an old skool 80’s/90’s vibe – think Fresh Prince meets the Kids from Fame.

The director Konstantin Ermakov loved “Lay Her Down” so much when he heard it on Blacklisted that he was inspired to put this video together.  So great that he got to shoot the official video too.

The set was teeming with beautiful women, but it looks like Skepta only had eyes for the car, tweeting this pic after the shoot wrapped up.
