Its with great sadness that we have to inform you of the recent passing of ex 3 Beat employee Andy Jarrod. Andy a keen cyclist was out last Saturday the 9th August riding when he was involved in an accident with a car. He was left with severe head injuries which eventually took his life.
Andy joined the 3 Beat team in 2000 with the launch of 3 Beat label Management that looked after labels from the likes of James Holden, Yousef, Kasey Taylor and Matthew Dekay. 3 Beat label Management was also the home of 3 Beat Digital the online download store. Andy was instrumental in the development of some of the industries greats.
Mark Betteridge of Change Underground has written a wonderful piece of how the industry remembers Andy.
We remember Andy as a funny, hard working, passionate and highly driven man with bags of knowledge. He left his mark on everyone he met.
Andy had recently become a father for the second time with twin girls. He also leaves a loving wife and a son. A fund raising charity has been set up in Andy’s name for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust – a condition his son Oscar has. Please click here if you would like to contribute to this wonderful cause.
