It’s been a busy couple of days for 3 Beat’s top girl Baby Blue!
Her brilliant new single “Bump” has just been added to the BBC Radio 1 playlist and has taken the Number 1 spot on the Music Week Urban Club Chart. It’s also number 7 on the Shazam new release chart and number 29 on Shazam’s UK Top 200 (up from number 98 last week!). Great news for Blue and British female rappers.
“Bump” has been well supported over at 1Xtra too – Mistajam premiered the track and DJ Target and Charlie Sloth are both big fans. The single was play listed by 1Xtra, Kiss Fresh and Choice FM back in June. Early spins on Choice came from Firin Squad and from KC who has been championing “Bump” ever since! And the love is building over at Kiss FM. The Kiss Twitter feed was buzzing after Justin Wilkes played it on his daytime show. It’s also had a play on Live@Kiss and evening spins from Jez Welham and AJ.
“Bump” is out on August 11th, but you can pre-order your copy on iTunes now.

It might be raining outside but there’s no damping down the appetite for Stylo G’s new single “Soundbwoy”. Last night Kiss FM’s DJ Hype played the massive Sigma remix of the track. If you haven’t heard it yet have a listen here.
Today Stylo’s interview with The Voice Online went live. In it he talks to Dionne Grant about why he wants to celebrate the term ‘Yardie’ and opens up about his father, Jamaican dancehall star Poison Chang, who died when Stylo was just 13.
The day ended with People’s Prince Charlie Sloth playing “Soundbwoy” yet again on his drivetime show on 1Xtra. Thanks for all the support Charlie!
Definitely a good day at the office…

Things are hotting up for UK dancehall star Stylo G as excitement about his latest single “Soundbwoy” continues to build.
The single was added to the BBC Radio 1Xtra playlist last week. And this week “Soundbwoy” burst into the Music Week Urban Club Chart at number 7 – the week’s highest new entry.
Zane Lowe played the Sigma remix of the track on his show on Radio 1 on Wednesday night (he played the original mix in a previous show). Initial Radio 1 support for the single came from Toddla T and Rob Da Bank. Choice FM has been hammering it for weeks, so has Rinse FM.
And on Saturday “Soundbwoy” was the soundbed for the ‘Showboat’ feature on Sky Sport’s popular magazine show Soccer AM.
That sent the single shooting to Number 2 on the iTunes Reggae chart!
“Soundbwoy” is released on May 26th but is available to pre-order on iTunes now with remixes from DiGenius, Sigma and Ross Couch.
If you still haven’t seen the video take a look.
