Stylo G is Sara Cox’s BIG THING
Radio 1’s Queen of Daytime Sara Cox has picked Stylo G’s hot dancehall smash “Soundbwoy” to be her ‘Big Thing’ this week. She’ll be playing the single every day between 10am and 1pm.

Ever wondered what’s on Stylo’s all time favourite playlist? The guys over at Earmilk.com asked him just that and he put together this ‘Influencer Chart’ for them. His picks cross decades and continents and come from the likes of Busta Rhymes, Beenie Man, Bridget Kelly and Snoop Dogg. Genius!
If you’re in London this weekend, get yourself down to the Jazz Café on Friday night and catch Stylo G live. He’ll be joining his 3 Beat label mate Fuse ODG as part of The Norte Show Live, hosted by Choice FM’s Manny Norte. It’s going to be a massive night. You can get tickets here.

Cahill Top of the Pop Chart with “Feel The Love”
Liverpool’s finest dance export Cahill are riding high with their new single “Feel The Love”. The track, which features American singing star Kimberely Locke, is currently number 1 in the Music Week Commercial Pop Chart!
Danny Howard has long been a supporter and ended his Saturday ‘Dance Anthems’ show on Radio 1 with the Grum remix of “Feel The Love”. You can listen back here (from 2:56:35 in).
If you didn’t already see the brilliant video for “Feel The Love” you can check it out on our YouTube page. Shot in and around London’s Notting Hill, the video features an opening cameo from our lad Anton Powers (one third of Cahill) – Hugh Grant eat your heart out!
Superstar DJ Steve Aoki has fallen for the TS7 mix of “Feel The Love” and the track is being well supported in the UK by DJ’s such as Radio 1’s Greg James and Danny Howard. Kiss FM’s Steve Smart is a fan and the track is already on the Ministry Of Sound playlist.

“Soundbwoy” Fires Up
Things are hotting up for UK dancehall star Stylo G as excitement about his latest single “Soundbwoy” continues to build.
The single was added to the BBC Radio 1Xtra playlist last week. And this week “Soundbwoy” burst into the Music Week Urban Club Chart at number 7 – the week’s highest new entry.
Zane Lowe played the Sigma remix of the track on his show on Radio 1 on Wednesday night (he played the original mix in a previous show). Initial Radio 1 support for the single came from Toddla T and Rob Da Bank. Choice FM has been hammering it for weeks, so has Rinse FM.
And on Saturday “Soundbwoy” was the soundbed for the ‘Showboat’ feature on Sky Sport’s popular magazine show Soccer AM.
That sent the single shooting to Number 2 on the iTunes Reggae chart!
“Soundbwoy” is released on May 26th but is available to pre-order on iTunes now with remixes from DiGenius, Sigma and Ross Couch.

Stylo G Is This week’s Best of British on 1Xtra
If you’ve been tuning in to the Breakfast Show on 1Xtra this week you’ll already know that “Soundbwoy” the immense new single from UK dancehall star Stylo G is Twin B’s ‘Best of British’ record of the week!

As well as being Twin B’s ‘Best of British’, the single has been getting spins from the likes of Trevor Nelson, MistaJam, David Rodigan, CJ Beatz, Seani B and Robbo Ranx at 1Xtra. Radio 1 plays have come courtesy of Toddla T and Idris Elba (in the mix with Trevor Nelson) and over at Choice FM Daddy Ernie, Ras Kwame, Firin’ Squad and Woody are all big fans.
Idris Elba Goes Mad for 3 Beat!
Actor Idris Elba joined national treasure Trevor Nelson to co-host the second hour of his 1Xtra show on BBC Radio 1 on Saturday night.
Best know for his roles in TV shows The Wire and Luther, Elba is no stranger to the decks – he’s a massive music fan and has been DJing since he was a teenager.
And on Saturday night Idris Elba showed the world that he is a man of impeccable taste, dropping four – YES FOUR – 3 Beat tracks into his guest mix! First up was TS7’s new single “Heartlight” featuring Liverpool’s hottest rising star Taylor Fowlis. Next came “Beat Down”, Steve Aoki’s massive collaboration with Angger Dimas and Iggy Azalea. He closed his set with two 3 Beat tracks back-to-back. Brand new Stylo Gee “Soundbwoy” which Idris predicts will be a “summer smasher“ and then Sway & Kano’s “Still Sway & Kane” featuring Tigger Da Author.

“Heartlight” Beats Nicky Romero to win Danny Howard’s ‘Trending Track’ on BBC Radio 1
It was a BIG weekend for “Heartlight”! The debut single from TS7 – which features the fabulously talented Liverpudlian singer Taylor Fowlis – was released yesterday on iTunes.
On Saturday “Heartlight” beat off competition from Nicky Romero’s latest offering “Same Man” to be named Trending Track on Danny Howard’s Dance Anthems show on BBC Radio 1. You can listen back here.
The win sent the track soaring to number 17 on the iTunes UK dance albums chart.
On Sunday the video for “Heartlight” also went live on You Tube via Sub Soul. If you didn’t see it already take a look here. And if you like it start requesting it on your favourite music channels now!

With support for the single continuing to grow, you’re going to be a hearing a lot more of “Heartlight”! It’s on daytime rotation at BBC 1Xtra, Rinse FM and Unity FM and is receiving strong specialist support at Kiss, Capital and BBC Radio 1.

“Magnetic Eyes” – the brilliant new single from Matrix & Futurebound featuring the vocal talents of Baby Blue – just smashed into the UK TOP 40 – jumping from number 100 to number 39 in its first week of release, the highest climber on the overall chart. Download your copy here.
The buzz around the latest track from the drum and bass superstars continues to build… much loved at 1Xtra and firmly on the playlist over at BBC Radio 1, “Magnetic Eyes” is also being strongly supported by Kiss FM and regional radio. Expect a strong midweek chart position!

Paul Van Dyk’s ‘Evolution’ World Tour Hits the UK
Trance superhero Paul Van Dyk kicks off the UK leg of his ‘Evolution’ world tour this week. Things get underway on Friday October 5th at the O2 in Leeds.
On Saturday 6th he’ll be in Liverpool headlining the Courtyard at Cream for the legendary club’s 20th birthday bash.

‘Beat Down’ – the latest 3Beat release – is the new single from Steve Aoki & Angger Dimas and features a fierce vocal from Aussie rap sensation Iggy Azalea. A bona fide electronic party-starter, the track is holding steady just outside the 40.
Remixes come from UK garage kings DEVolution, underground star Donaeo and Paris Esquire AfroRnBeat.

If you’ve been listening to Radio 1 over the past couple of weeks you’ve probably heard ‘Need U’ the incredible new single from electronic genius Unicorn Kid. At Radio 1 Jem & Ally, Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, Fearne Cotton and Huw Stephens have all been showing their love. Eddy Temple-Morris is championing the track at Xfm.
