It’s OFFICIAL – Fuse ODG’s massive summer smash “Antenna” is in the UK Top Ten!! The track was a new entry at number 7 on the Official Chart, the second highest new entry just behind Union J who charted at number 6 with their new single “Carry You”.
This really IS New Africa – “Antenna” is the highest chart position for any Afrobeats track to date, D’Banj’s “Oliver Twist” debuted at Number 9 back in May 2012.
Fuse joined Jameela Jamil in the BBC Radio 1 studio to yesterday to talk about the single. He also had a lot of FUN teaching Jameela how to dance to Antenna.
If you want to see how it’s really done check out the winners of the Antenna dance competition.
OR take a look at the official video which features the legendary Wyclef Jean throwing some pretty slick moves in a backpack!
Stars of the urban scene took to Twitter to congratulate Fuse on his success – among them label-mate (and fellow Ghanaian) Sway, Lethal Bizzle and Toddla T.

“Alright” the new single from Grammy nominated producer Mark Knight featuring Sway made its debut at the weekend. Danny Howard gave the track a world exclusive first spin on his Dance Anthems show on BBC Radio 1, choosing it as his ‘Future Anthem’. Listen back here.
The lyric video went live at the same time. You can watch it here.
“Alright” was released as an instrumental last year by Knight’s own label Toolroom to good support from radio and club DJ’s. When Knight decided he wanted to take the track to the next level he called on the immense lyrical talents of UK hip-hop hero Sway who willingly obliged, laying his rapid-fire flow and clever word play over the instrumental.
The outstanding remix package features a DnB edit from UK producer Koncept, a house mix from Liverpool rising star Liam Keegan and a trap mix from hot Canadian outfit Damn Kids.
“Alright” is set for release via 3 Beat/Toolroom on June 30th.
