3 Beat’s Extra-Curricular Activities…
Last night we went on a team building exercise, or maybe it it was just an excuse for a night on the ale. As per usual, Youth Club didn’t show, but at least this time he didn’t try to come up with some crazy story as an excuse – I am tired’.
The evening started off with a superb meal at Tokyou, a local noodle bar, which represents great value for money. I recommend the beef teriyaki. Then, via a couple of bars (Lago, Heebie Jeebies), we ended up in mood for a ‘bucking buffalo’ session, during which we all sustained injuries, but due to us all signing disclaimers, there was no opportunity for legal compensation.
Unfortunately the wet t-shirt competition was postponed, but there was the added bonus of a free barbecue! Its amazing how nice Iceland value pack sausages can taste after several pints. Then, the remaining few of us went to see Paul Oakenfold at the Carling Academy, which was interesting!
During all this I’ve forgotten to talk about music, so ill just end on saying that this tune is really floating my boat ….. Mike Di Scala ‘Turn My Life Around’, on 3 Beat Blue. Although not to my usual taste, it really is rather large!
